Nick’s nicks

My name is Nick Tucker. I’m a retired Police Sergeant, having served in Staffordshire Police from the mid 1970s until the summer of 2000. I live in Stone in Staffordshire.

It has always been my ambition to write a book, favouring fiction, of which I’m an avid reader. However, I realised that a quarter of a century, mainly on the front line of policing had stories which were even stranger than fiction.

So, in 2015 I sat down with my laptop to write about my experiences over a quarter of a century, intending to publish a couple of years or so later.

Events, and a dose of writer’s block made the couple of years or so turn into ten. I finally published in Kindle format on the very day after I had been retired for as long as I had served.

The book’s been well received and it gives me great pleasure to see people enjoying my work.

The book is available in paperback and hard cover, as well as Kindle format on Amazon. If you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited it’s free!

I will gladly provide signed copies if you’d like to contact me for details.
